Introduction

For my digital portfolio, I have compiled a variety of activities, games, and books that I plan to use in the classroom. I may not have the opportunity to use all of these in my current placement because a) it is a 4/5 class and not all of these activities are suitable for their curriculum and b) I only have about a month and a half with them so will not cover every math unit. Nonetheless, I chose to compile a range of resources because I don’t know where my future placements or career will take me and it is always good to have these options accessible to me just in case. Of course this is not an exhaustive list, but merely the artifacts that resonated the most with me in how I want to run my math class.

Each of the artifact descriptions follow relatively the same format: first I will describe the artifact, next I will connect the artifact to the curriculum, and finally I will outline how it may be used in the classroom. There are some deviations from the structure here and there but I try to stay relatively consistent for ease of reading.
